Our Mission.

The Latino Judges Association Foundation, Inc. (LJAF) is an organization of retired judges, lawyers, academics, and certified professionals within the State of New York and within the federal courts within the Second Circuit of the United States.

The LJAF, among other things, is intended to assist in the expansion of the LJA Judicial Summer Internship program opportunities, the funding for the creation of scholarship programs, and establishing a resource for community education and outreach programming.

It supports mentoring opportunities available through the courts, educational institutions, and bar associations, and supports the training of law interns.

Consistent with applicable canons of judicial ethics and rules of professional responsibility, LJAF may sponsor charitable events and present meritorious awards for outstanding contributions to the community, and honor diverse law students within the Greater New York areas.
